Dzurlady and painkillers – an ongoing saga

Dzurlady: *is in pain*
Painkillers: we can fix it!
Dzurlady: I don’t know, I shouldn’t take you too often. Plus it’s not that bad, I can cope.
Pain: *is actually quite painful*
Painkillers: ooh, pick me, pick me!
Dzurlady: *takes the painkillers*
Painkillers: nothing
Painkillers: nothing
Dzurlady: *goes back to what she was doing*
Painkillers: *are working!*
Pain: *is mostly gone!*
Dzurlady: oh, my pain is not so bad, probably I didn’t need to take the painkillers anyway, I should stop complaining so much.
Painkillers: *facepalm*


I really should take painkillers more often - being constantly slightly to somewhat in pain is uncomfortable and distracting, and is not helping me with concentrating at work. But then, I wonder where it will stop given I am pretty much always in pain. There are only so many painkillers it is good for you to take...
