Okay, so here's the thing
Sep. 19th, 2010 10:45 pmMy mother and sibling said two quite depressing things in the past 24 hours. My mother told me how she was going onto Light and Easy to try and 'lose some of this weight I have', sounding quite sad about it. My younger sister asked me for advice on dresses for a party she's going to, and in the course of the conversation asked me several times to reassure her she didn't look fat and when mum said 'oh, you're a size 10, right?' she quickly said 'or an eight!'.
So here's the thing: even though at no point did you mention my weight during either of those conversations, by emphasising how important it is to you that you're not fat and how horrible being fat is, you are telling me pretty clearly that you think my fat is horrible too.
No love,
Me.
