Schrodinger's internet

dzurladyA couple of days ago we reached 80% of our download quota for the month. From that time we have had Schrodinger's internet - every time we went to use the internet, it was possible that we had reached our cap and would be on dialup speeds, and it was possible that we weren't there yet too. And there the two possibilities hovered, quantumly, until they collapsed whenever a page loaded. This morning not only did the possibilities collapse, but so did our internet speed. Stuck in dialup hell again!!!
Thankfully we have finally asked our internet company to upgrade our plan (there was some stuff we had to sort out first, and by we I actually mean my mother and I even though neither of us were the people using the internet in such a way that we needed to upgrade, but there you go) but it has not yet come through yet. Argh, dialup speeds. (Excellent modern day curse, y/y? 'From this day forth, you will only ever have dial up speeds!' 'Nooooooo!')
