My weekend was pretty cool - I skipped seeing MonUCS perform the Mikado on Friday night because my back was too sore for sitting that long, particularly on seats of questionable ergonomics, and instead I finished playing Force Unleashed (I didn't realise I was that close to the end). It was a fun game to play, although I am hoping the sequel (coming out next month) has better graphics.

Saturday I replayed a lot of Alan Wake (♥ ♥ ♥) and bought some new sneakers, since my old ones had died. And you guys, I went to the most awesome shop! It's called Athletic Feet, and there are three of them. The shop staff are all podiatrists and they look at your feet as you walk on the treadmills they have set up and watch how they move, and then give you the appropriate shoe. It turns out that I roll my feet in quite a lot as I walk (my ankle tilts inwards, not straight - they moved my feet to where they should be, and it felt quite weird), so they gave me shoes to help with that. (I can feel the difference in my legs when I wear them, which is interesting.) I tried several different shoes, and they laced them in different ways, and they were really invested about making sure that they fit properly. And they have a warranty so if they don't work I can bring them back, even though I have worn them. And they were only $200! AMAZING. I would totally recommend them, they were really nice and helpful.

Then Saturday night I went to see Inception at IMAX, which I quite enjoyed. I went to see it by myself; I have been spending quite a lot of time doing things by myself recently which I find pleasurable, but I can feel myself slipping away from seeing anyone and I know I should get onto that. I think part of my problem is I keep doing things in large groups instead of organizing to see a small group, and being in a large group I just sort of hang around not talking to anyone and feeling stressed, which doesn't really help.

Sunday I got up late, read fic, went to the gym and got to watch some soccer on FOX while I was there, and then played some more Assassin's Creed (the original) which is sadly not as enjoyable as AC2. (Bloody guards are everywhere, it takes forever to go anywhere.) Why is it not November 18, I want Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood to be out already. *pines desperately* *seriously considers making a daily countdown* (The multiplayer has co-op! I can play with [personal profile] delurker! And anyone else I know with AC:B, but I think it is just [personal profile] delurker and I.) (OMG eee.)
